Access AGM

Overview

Before you can use AGM, you need

  1. An EU Login account ID.
  2. An AGM invitation email.
  3. To accept the invitation with your EU Login account ID.

This page focuses on how to set up your EU Login account for AGM.

Web browser

The supported browsers for AGM are Firefox, Google Chrome, and Microsoft Edge

For troubleshooting information, check the Browser issues section.

Your EU Login account

EU Login is the European Commission's authentication service. It  manages access to a wide range of Commission web services.

To accept the invitation as a meeting participant, use your personal EU Login account which displays your name and is related to your personal mailbox.

If you don't have an EU Login account, first go to EU Login and follow the instructions there to create one.

You EU Login account has a user ID (see My account details). This user ID is your identity (not your email address).

We recommend to create only one EU Login ID to avoid scattering your data over multiple accounts. If something changes update your EU Login account

Adding a 2nd authentication factor

To log in to AGM, you'll need to use 2-factor authentication. Please configure your EU-Login account accordingly.

We recommend to install the EU-Login app as second factor, where you enter a PIN code or scan a QR code. Follow the instructions on the EU Login Mobile app installation page that includes an instructional video

In the EU Login portal, you can find an overview of all other options for the 2nd authentication factor (the option Password only is not sufficient for AGM).

Accessing AGM with eID

Alternatively, if supported in your country, you can authenticate with your eID.

Please note that the system cannot recognise that an unlinked eID and a normal account belong to the same person.

To have both options available, link your eID to your normal EU Login account before you accept an invitation with an eID.

To link your eID,  first create a normal EU Login account (EU Login IDs starting with "n") and then link the eID (EU Login IDs starting with "v") to it. As a result, you can use both authentication methods to access the same (normal) account ID.

If you activate an unlinked eID, you must continue using the eID.

Activating your profile

Your EU-Login account as such doesn't give you access to AGM data. Only accepting an AGM invitation with your EU Login account establishes the access.

You do this by clicking Accept or decline on desktop in the AGM invitation email and authenticating with your EU-Login account.

After authenticating with your EU-Login account (with 2-factor authentication), you’ll be asked to link the meeting to your user profile (EU-Login account ID)

Once this relation is established, the same EU Login ID will be activated for future meetings in the same meeting group.  As a consequence, only the EU Login user ID you authenticated with during profile activation will grant you access to your meetings and claims in this meeting group.

Tips
  • If you always use the same EU Login ID for AGM,  you will find all your AGM information in one place, even if you participate in various meeting groups.
  • Although you can use your email in the authentication window,  your email is not your EU Login user ID. See FAQ Where can I see my EU-Login user ID
  • Take care to update your activated EU Login account if email, phone, phone number or name changes.
  • Avoid to involuntarily change your ID — see AGM Access issues
