 EU Login app issues

If the app does't work anymore, take the steps below for a fresh start:

Uninstall the EU-Login app if installed.

Restart your phone.

Don't click a link/button that leads to AGM. Instead go to the EU Login page account directly at https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/cas/

 Authenticate with simple password authentication (under Choose your verification method).

Click the user name name or the cogwheel in the upper right corner.

Click My account to access the EU Login profile.

Select Delete all my devices and eID (this option is only available if there devices or eID registered in this account).

Click Delete to confirm the action.

Protect your device with a Screen Lock (Pattern, PIN Code or Biometric) if not already the case.

Reinstall the EU Login app.

Browser issues

  • Depending on your settings, the web browser may remember a EU Login account previously used as well as a previous access methods. This may result in you not using the correct EU Login ID, so that you will encounter an authentication error.
    • In the EU-Login authentication window, click Sign in with a different email address so that you can fill in the field Enter your e-mail address or unique identifier with the correct account ID.

  • Unsupported browsers may not execute all functions
    • Use Firefox, Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge
  • The browser may cache previous versions of AGM that conflict with the current version.

Authentication error

You encounter an authentication error when trying to access content in AGM.

The authentication error occurs because you are not using the EU-Login ID that you initially activated for the meeting group.

Common scenarios include:

--> Replacement EU-Login account

  • You created a new EU Login account because you forgot your password and at the same time lost access to the registered mailbox. You encounter an authentication error.
  • You created a new EU-Login account because your name, email, phone or phone number changed. If this is your scenario, you could delete the new account ID and update the activated account ID (only do this, if you don't need the new account ID for other purposes):

--> Incorrect EU Login ID

  • You have multiple EU Login IDs and don't use the ID that was activated for the content you are trying to access. You encounter an authentication error.
    • Click your name in the upper right corner.
    • Click Logout, then
    • Click Sign in with a different email address, and fill in the field Enter your e-mail address or unique identifier with the ID you initially activated for this meeting group.

--> eID (unlinked) instead of normal ID

  • You activated your normal ID for a meeting group and then try to log in with your unlinked eID. You encounter an authentication error.
    • Click your name in the upper right corner.
    • Click Logout
    • Click Sign in with a different email address
    • In the field Enter your email address or unique identifier, enter the email address or normal ID.

--> Normal ID instead of eID

  • You logged in with a normal ID, but the ID activated for the content you are trying to access is an eID. You encounter an authentication error.
    • Click your name in the upper right corner.
    • Click Logout
    • Click Sign in with a different email address
    • Click Sign in in with your eID.

--> Forwarded AGM invitation

  • You forwarded your AGM invitation email to somebody else. If this other person accepts your invitation before you, their EU Login ID will be activated instead of yours (an AGM invitation can only be accepted once). You encounter an authentication error.
    • Contact the meeting organisers (check for their address in the invitation letter).
